Preparation for mid module reviews
For our mid module presentation I had the job of collecting all the research and projects we had seen that contributed to the creation of our idea so far. This included: The Fun Theory- Volkswagen For this invention Volkswagen turned a bottle bank into an arcade game. The faster you put the bottles into the indicated holes the more points you would get. This clever transformation plays on people's competitive side, creating a compelling way to get more people to recycle. What might seem a relatively mundane task has been made more enjoyable whilst also benefitting the environment. This turned out to be one of our main sources of inspiration for the final concept. For this project the creators connected interactive piano keys to the stairs of the underground to see how many people would use the stairs in stead of the escalators.
